Project:
Logo Design

Client: Ohio Afterschool Network (OAN)

The Ohio Afterschool Network brings together a number of systems and stakeholders, including policymakers, educators, parents, and service providers.

The Process
The challenge of the project is to create a logo that is receptive to its diverse audience: policymakers, educators, service providers, parents and their children. It was important that the logo still looked childlike but appealing to adults as well.

Back to Portfolio
This is the final vesion selected by OAN. The brushlike strokes of the "O" and the color orange gives the logo it's crafty, childlike look while the dark blue and very traditional font appeals to OAN's older audience like policy makers, educators, service providers and parents. While the people in the "O" obviously represents a network of people who work together, they are also made to resemble some of the hours of a clock to represent the "afterschool" element.
